For the fifth consecutive year, breast cancer survivors and advocates will band together to create Holiday House, a holiday-themed Designer Show House benefiting breast cancer awareness and research, which will run from October 25-November 18 at the historic limestone mansion at 2 East 63rd Street in Manhattan.

For the first time, this event will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which was founded by Evelyn Lauder in 1993 and continues to be a leader in the fight against breast cancer. Acting Chairman of BCRF Leonard Lauder says of the support of BCRF this year. "My wife, Evelyn, with her wonderful eye for beauty, would have been delighted by this event. We look forward to a very successful show house which will fuel BCRF's ability to continue to fund the most promising research around the world."

Holiday House will feature original room and tabletop settings by renowned designers. There will be over 25 participating designers, including Eric Cohler, Campion Platt, Stephanie Odegard, Vicente Wolf and more.

Stephen Fanuka will be the Honorary Contractor and Sara Gore, host of Open House NYC will be the Honorary Chair for Opening Night. Participating companies include Baccarat, Hermès, Leviev, and Lladro. Traditional Home magazine is supporting the event for the third year as a media partner.

Many of those involved with Holiday House have a personal experience with breast cancer. Iris Dankner, founder of Holiday House, is a 15-year survivor who created the event to join her passion for interior design with her fight against this deadly disease. "When I realized that there were no major events in the interior design industry in New York City benefitting women's issues and yet so many accomplished women in the field, I was inspired to take on this project.  I'm so proud of what we've accomplished in five years and that we are now contributing to such an important charity as BCRF."

On October 24th 2012, Holiday House's Opening Night Cocktail Celebration will be the kickoff to an array of many exciting events including: Author's Night hosted by Monacelli Press and Mother & Daughter Day, a panel discussion featuring female leaders in the interior design industry and events dedicated to young designers.

Moscow 57 will again bring an eclectic elegance to the house's courtyard café with a delicious menu featuring fresh baked goods, salads and sandwiches, a daily Russian Central Asian tea service and special nights featuring a worldly mix of live musical performances.
