Last year, VERANDA launched the Art of Design Awards, a program designed to discover and showcase the work and workmanship of emerging artisans and designers. Through this year's theme, Redefining Luxury, VERANDA will show how characteristics such as craft, innovation, authenticity, value and social responsibility contribute to today's definition of luxury.

VERANDA editors and a committee of designers and artisans nominated people or companies whose work represents the art of design and today's definition of luxury. VERANDA documented "a day in the life" of each of the four winners in a short film, which will have its premier at DCOTA at this event.

After the screening, VERANDA will present a panel discussion moderated by editor-at-large Carolyn Englefield on how luxury is being redefined in today's marketplace.
