The Editor at Large offers a fruitful, low-maintenance way to get new product in front of an audience of editors who are searching for high-quality design content.
You may upload up to 1500 words of text and 50 photos per product profile. Each product profile may contain multiple images of one product, as well as various finishes and colorways for one design.
Once you’ve submitted a product, an email will be sent to the contributing editor you selected with a link to the product profile. The editor will review the submission and offer feedback if necessary. You will receive an email notification within 24 hours if the editor approves the product.
Below is a sample of the publications’ view of a product submission. You may also preview your submission in ‘draft’ before you submit it to an approving editor.
Once your product is live on the site, you can edit your profile and submit to new publications over the course of a year. After one year, the submission is archived.
The Editor at Large products section is accessible only to publications listed in the Publications section. In addition to those listed, some companies may be given access for specific projects such as a book or custom publication.
If you have a dedicated public relations firm, please have them contact us for membership in our Publicists Council, which offers discounted submission rates.
You can choose to pay online with credit card, or you may request an invoice.

Once you’ve submitted a project, an email will be sent to the contributing editor you selected with a link to the project profile. The editor will review the submission and offer feedback if necessary. You will receive an email notification within 24 hours if the editor approves the project.

Publications will contact you directly via The Editor at Large email interface. Publications are encouraged to respond, and depending on the publication’s issue cycle, it may take up to 6 weeks. They have the option respond immediately to the submisison with yes, no, maybe, and leave a comment. Their response is tracked in your submission history.

The standard submission fee is $500 per approved submission for one year, however discounts apply for submission packages. There is no fee if a submission is not approved. Click here to inquire about submission packages.

The Projects database includes a project description, location, completion date, style and notable features, project photos (professional photography and scouting shots), product credits, photo caption information, publication status, as well as the designer, architect, photographer, homeowner, writer and stylist (if applicable).
In order to search content quickly and easily, you may enter specific terms offered in the search menu dropdowns (i.e. Publication Status: Never Published + Professional Photography: Yes, Free + Style: Coastal/Beach), or you may type in a keyword search such as ‘coastal’.
The projects and products database is accessible to publications that have subscribed to Editoratlarge.com.
You will receive an email from Ediotratlarge.com with a link to the submission profile. You must be signed in to view the submission.
If you find a project or product you’d like to publish or learn more about, simply click "Contact" on the submission profile. You will be able to contact the submitter through the Editoratlarge.com interface. It’s up to you to give the submitter your contact information.
Any previous publication(s) is noted in the project profile. If a publication commits to publish a project, this will be indicated in that project’s profile.
Although it’s not required, we encourage you to click "yes", "no" or "maybe" and leave a comment. These responses will be tracked in the submitter's submission history.
In order to communicate editorial request to submitters, we ask that you include as much information as possible in the publications summary page, which shows the publication’s cover or logo, a description of the publication, submission requests and PDFs of sample editorial.
Each submission is reviewed by an Editoratlarge.com contributing editor before it is included in the database. The editor will offer feedback on the quality of images, the order of images, the description, and the publications you've selected.
