With a passion for infusing elegance into everyday living, renowned interior designer Barbara Barry creates two new premier bedding ensembles for her Barbara Barry Dream collection that gracefully convey her signature leitmotifs of timeless beauty and subtle luxury. Inspired by Barry’s recent travels to Asia, Floating Lotus introduces a meditative, Far East influence with a refined motif of floral medallions atop a regal Gilded ground. The Obi sheet in Mica shimmers with a complimentary scrolling jacquard, artfully piece dyed in India. With its clean lines and geometric pattern, the Solid Gold Gateway Quilt adds depth and richness; the shimmering cotton sateen is deeply quilted for timeless texture, bringing a chic structure to the softness of the Floating Lotus or any bed. A layering of Medallion pillows completes the luxe retreat of peace. A nod to the boudoirs of Hollywood’s golden age, the Sachet bed dances with tassels over a field of luminous Sterling sateen. The Sachet Lace sheet adds soft dimension, while embroidery and understated ruffles evoke couture detailing. This flirtatious ensemble is enhanced with the soft textured Cloud Nine Coverlet in Pearl, a layer of luxurious matelasse cotton. Round Embroidered Tassel pillows in cotton sateen invite repose atop the Sachet bed day or night. Floating Lotus and Sachet beds join the existing Barbara Barry Dream bedding collection comprised of: Peaceful Petals, Curtain Call, Pinafore, Indochine, Pearls, Sublime Sateen and Pintuck Sateen. Both Floating Lotus and Sachet will be available at Bloomingdale’s and select retailers nationwide beginning August 2011. The complete Barbara Barry Dream collection will be showcased at the reinvented Barbara Barry bedding shop premiering September 2011 at Bloomingdale’s flagship 59th Street store in New York.
