Edgy-Classic in Pacific Heights
Built in 1900, this residence is situated in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights, a neighborhood filled with classic Edwardian and Victorian beauties.
The owners are a young couple that aren’t afraid to have some fun with their décor! They’re newly married and this is their first home together, so they wanted it to feel polished but not too stuffy, and a great place to entertain friends and family
Before MWM began work on the house, it was loaded with faux paint and decorative motifs from decades past which had no relation to its metropolitan locale. The interior was whisked into the 21st century with fresh paint throughout, new light fixtures from top to bottom, and a light remodel of the kitchen which included restructuring the island, re-facing the existing cabinets, and new cabinet hardware.
The new Edgy-Classic! The house is quite traditional, and the clients wanted a bolder, more daring look that would celebrate the classic bones of the house without being sedated by tradition. Warner embraced the grand scale (14-foot ceilings!) with striking chandeliers, bold patterns, and color for miles. Scouring vintage stores off the beaten path and using a rich mixture of woods, bone, shell, lacquer, and metal, Warner wove a distinctive pallet to reflect both the hip youthfulness of the owners, and richness of the home’s style & setting.
Approximately 4,000 square feet, decorated rooms include an Entry Foyer, Dining room, Living room, Powder Room, Kitchen, Breakfast Nook , Her office, and Master Bedroom.
