On Wednesday evening, industry friends gathered at the Christofle flagship showroom on Madison Avenue in New York City for a summer fête, all centered around a special tabletop display created by interior designer Thom Filicia.
Filicia’s table featured a “collected and eclectic” look, pulled together from several different Christofle collections including Iriana stemware, Galea flatware and trays and candlesticks from the Vertigo collection. He also used Thom Filicia fabric and trims from Kravet in a green color palette with hints of yellow.
“This is a summer party,” said Filicia. “That’s the idea of it. It’s supposed to be light and breezy and airy and easy and fun and fresh. It was about mixing and having it feel eclectic and interesting and layered.”

Notable attendees included interior designers James Rixner and Gregory Allan Cramer, Jennifer Block of Maya Romanoff, Jill Esterman of Traditional Home, and Lynn Kuhn and Kim Huebner of Pierre Frey.
“It evokes the freshness of summer along with the grand tradition of Christofle,” said Rixner of the table. “I love the combination of the modern and the traditional all on one table.”

“The contemporary print, which is very crisp, and the silver, which is extremely contemporary, works completely for a summer fete with the chartreuse glassware,” added Cramer.
Filicia made a short speech at the end of the evening thanking his team and friends at Christofle, who raffled off a one-terabyte hardrive for one lucky winner.

“This has been a lot of fun in pulling this together,” he said. “It was a collaboration of my office and Christofle. They are wonderful to work with and their products are beautiful.”
