A Complementary Collaboration: Sherwin-Williams and Robert Allen
Jul 22, 2009

Sherwin-Williams launches a palette of complementary colors to be included in the new Robert Allen Color Library upholstery and multipurpose fabric collection books. This collaboration will make color selection easier for designers coordinating fabric and wall hues. In addition, Sherwin-Williams plans to debut a color studio in the Robert Allen | Beacon Hill showroom at the Decoration & Design (D&D) Building in New York. The 600-square-foot ''studio within a studio'' debuting in May will display designer-sized samples of the entire Sherwin-Williams color studio. Sherwin-Williams will also have a smaller presence at more than a dozen Robert Allen | Beacon Hill showrooms nationwide. Both companies are excited about this new collaboration. Jackie Jordan, director of color marketing for Sherwin-Williams, says, ''As leading color trend authorities for the paint and fabrics industries, this collaboration is a natural fit for both companies. We've long been familiar and have worked with The Robert Allen Group and look forward to broadening our relationship with this new program.'' Christy Almond, operating vice president of design and merchandising for Robert Allen, underscored the potential benefits of this new partnership, adding, ''Finding new ways to combine color has always been one of my favorite stages of the design process. Our work with Sherwin-Williams will enable us to share some of the color inspirations behind our collections, as well as create a complete color and design resource center for the design community. Forty Sherwin-Williams colors will be introduced for Robert Allen's new spring fabric lines, Hydrangea, Tulip, Terrain and Leaf.
