After years of hiatus, Sarasota Antiques Show is back in town
Jan 15, 2015

For the first time in more than five years, the Sarasota Winter Art & Antiques Show & Sale is back in full-swing at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium. The revitalized show, which has been on hiatus since it changed hands, is now organized by Dolphin Promotions (it was previously run by JMK Shows), which has produced antiques shows in Sarasota for more than 25 years.
Antique furniture, paintings, bronzes, porcelain, pottery, prints, and rare books are just a few of the items designers will be able to find across the show floor this week.

Online vintage furnishings retailer 1stdibs has been partnering with Dolphin Promotions for more than 10 years. According to founder and chairman of 1stdibs Michael Bruno, “nobody works harder than [owner of Dolphin Promotions] Rosemary Krieger to ensure that both the dealers and those who attend her shows have a fantastic experience.”

Taking place Jan. 16 through 18, the sale will feature works by more than 50 dealers from across North America and Europe. As part of the show, Dolphin Promotions will host its very first Preview Gala to benefit Designing Women—a non-profit store which features upscale designer furniture, home decor and clothing, with proceeds benefitting local arts and human services organizations. The charity event will be held Thursday, Jan. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a wine and cheese reception and an opportunity to shop the show before it opens to the public.
