An abundance of design happenings set for summer in the Hamptons

An airy Amagansett pop-up outfitted with pink suede Committee chairs by Pierre Jeanneret, Helmut Newton photographs, and a vintage daybed by Børge Mogensen; a Meg Braff-designed showhouse, the first of its kind, in Bridgehampton; charity benefits, al fresco sales and art shows: Playing host to top design, art and other events this summer, the Hamptons is abundant with both new and longtime-favorite gatherings. Learn what’s happening—and where, when and with whom—out East this season.

The Line
Dubbed “New York’s chicest store” by Vogue, The Apartment by The Line is debuting a pop-up concept in Amagansett this summer that offers styling services and interior design consulting alongside home goods. Inside the Alexander Díaz Andersson-designed store are washed linen sheeting by Tenfold New York, a vintage Turkish rug from Lawrence of La Brea, and Luteca’s Air Sofa. Now open daily, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 154 Main St., Amagansett

Coastal Living Hamptons Showhouse
The Coastal Living Hamptons Showhouse is designed by Meg Braff with Fred Throo Architect and Touch of Grey builders. The 6,800-square-foot home boasts six bedrooms, eight-and-a-half bathrooms, a home gym, a pool and pool house, a tennis court and a wine cellar. Open to the public from June 9 to September 5, at 272 Brick Kiln Rd., Bridgehampton


Coastal Living Hamptons Showhouse

Midsummer Night Drinks
The 16th annual Midsummer Night Drinks will unfold at designer Alex Papachristidis’ Bridgehampton home, in support of God’s Love We Deliver, which delivers meals to people in need throughout the New York area. Saturday, June 18, 6 to 9 p.m.

Holiday House Hamptons
Kicking off with the June 18 White Party, Holiday House Hamptons, presented by HC&G (Hamptons Cottages & Gardens), will unfold in Water Mill South. Designers include 2Michaels, Chad James Group, Sasha Bikoff Interior Design, Maddux Creative and others. Open daily from June 19 to 26, at 100 Crescent Avenue, Water Mill South

Art Hamptons
Art Hamptons returns for its ninth year with an international array of exhibitors. The show will take place on the grounds of Maria and Kenneth Fishel’s private Bridgehampton estate, with exhibitors including Collage Habana Gallery, Galería StandARTe, Envie d’Art, George Billis Gallery, RJD Gallery and others. June 23 to 26, at 900 Lumber Lane (and Scuttle Hole Road), Bridgehampton

Midsummer Party
Honoring Barbara J. Slifka, the director of the New York City Ballet, this year’s gathering will bring together more than 1,000 artists, philanthropists and other members of the art world in support of the Parrish Art Museum and its mission. Saturday, July 9, at 6:30 p.m., at the Parrish Art Museum, 279 Montauk Hwy., Water Mill

East Hampton Antiques Show
This year’s show will be chaired by Aerin Lauder and will feature vintage decorative items for the home and garden. “East Hampton is such an important part of my childhood, and there is nothing more important than to preserve history around you,” says Lauder. “The East Hampton Historical Society does a beautiful job in maintaining some of the most iconic properties in America, and I am honored to be co-chairing this year’s Antiques Show, showcasing some of the most incredible art, jewelry and collectibles. I am also excited to announce that we will be having an AERIN pop-up shop throughout the weekend on the historical grounds of Mulford Farm, where we will be able to give collectors and dealers a glimpse into the World of AERIN.” July 22 to 24, at Mulford Farm, 10 James Lane, East Hampton Village

LongHouse Reserve Summer Benefit
Honoring Luanne Wells, trustee at California Institute of the Arts, and designer-photographer-chef Molly Chappellet, this summer’s benefit, “Serious Moonlight,” also celebrates Jack Lenor Larsen. Marking LongHouse Reserve’s 25th anniversary, the gala will hail other honorees, including LongHouse Award winners Ai Weiwei, Alice Waters, Yoko Ono and Edward Albee, among others; and LongHouse Design Award winners Carol Cassidy and Christina Kim. Bidding on the benefit’s notable auction items kicks off July 4 online. Saturday, July 23, at LongHouse Reserve, 133 Hands Creek Rd., East Hampton

Hampton Designer Showhouse
Chaired by Mario Buatta, Jamie Drake and Alexa Hampton, this year’s showhouse will benefit Southampton Hospital and is being sponsored by Traditional Home, Beach magazine and Kohler Co. Twenty-five to-be-named designers and decorative artists will take over the Sag Harbor home. July 23 to Labor Day, at 1597 Noyac Path, Sag Harbor

Watermill Center Benefit and Auction
The Watermill Center, which hosts young and emerging artists for its International Summer Program as well other initiatives throughout the year, will unite the theater, art, fashion and design realms. The annual daylong shopping event returns to Water Mill, hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan.
