Coastal Living magazine has opened the doors to its 28th annual showhouse, this year in Coronado Beach, California, featuring spaces transformed by interior designers Betsy Burnham and Max Humphrey, builders John O’Brien and Mark Blore, architectural designer Dorian Lytle and landscape architect Frank Marczynski.

“Coronado Beach with its stunning coastal views and relaxed, small-town feel is the perfect location to bring our brand to life,” said Coastal Living Editor-in-Chief Antonia van der Meer. “Together with our partners, we have created a truly spectacular home.”
The house, which is located over the bridge and across the bay from downtown San Diego on the exclusive island community of Coronado, boasts three stories including a formal living room and dining room, a family room and rec room, three bedrooms, four bathrooms, as well as a front porch and two sun decks which over look the beach.
“We wanted the house to be like a great outfit that carries from daytime to dinner and after; one that works when kids and dogs and sand are underfoot but also sets the stage for everything from beach barbecues to elegant cocktail parties,” said Burnham of the design.
The showhouse will be featured in a special section in the October 2014 issue of Coastal Living. It is open to the public through Sunday, September 28, offers tours each Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $25, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation, which offers critical support to Naval Special Warfare commands, active-duty personnel, their families and veterans of Navy Special Warfare.
