Architectural Digest hosts ‘Great Design’ panel
May 19, 2016

Earlier this week, Architectural Digest and Thermador presented a conversation on the topic “Great Design,” with architect Annabelle Selldorf and designers Lindsey Adelman and David Netto, moderated by the magazine’s West Coast editor, Mayer Rus, at The Condé Nast Gallery at 1 World Trade Center. Over 100 guests, among them Brian Sawyer, Joel Barkley, Shawn Henderson, Glenn Gissler, John Douglas Eason, Tom Delavan, Angela Brown and Gil Schafer, viewed a gallery exhibition of projects created by the panelists, as well as a Thermador time line tracking the brand’s century of progress.

Adelman shared, “I feel like some people’s private homes really do rival museums. You know, with Ellsworth Kelly drawings just in the bedroom, and then you go in the next room and there are Rothkos, and on and on. It sort of takes your breath away. In a way, I curate more space between the fixtures and the art. I try to be more invisible and let these collections really shine.”
