The newly renovated Arthur Sachs Mansion (58 East 66th Street) in New York City’s Lenox Hill neighborhood will host the 43rd-annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House, which is also celebrating the 100th year of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Doors will open for one month beginning May 14.
Architects Buchman & Fox built the Gilded Age mansion in 1909 for Arthur Sachs, of the investment firm Goldman Sachs. It is a five-floor, 9,600-square-foot townhouse situated across from Andy Warhol’s long-time residence, now a New York City landmark.

“The classic Manhattan mansion will be the ideal backdrop to celebrate this milestone anniversary for the organization, showcase top talent in the interior design industry and raise much-needed funds for our city’s local youth,” said Bunny Williams, interior designer and Show House Chair.
The 20-foot-wide townhouse features a fully restored limestone façade and five original fireplaces. It also has a 27-foot lap pool, a planted garden and a roof top outdoor kitchen and living room. 22 of the world’s best interior designers will decorate the mansion’s interior before it opens to the public.
“The annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House is an essential tool in raising the necessary funds to keep the Club’s programs alive and well,” said James Druckman, president and CEO of the New York Design Center and president of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “We are confident that together with The Arthur Sachs Mansion at 58 East 66th Street as host and a roster of the nation’s top interior designers, this will be the most successful show house on record.”
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House attracts an estimated 15,000 visitors each year. It will be open to the public May 14 to June 11, Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday until 8 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $35.
