Returning for the third year, the ASID Metro NY chapter will host DesignWalk NYC 2012/Taking It To The Streets. On September 12, 13 and 14, designers will have the opportunity to visit showrooms in, respectively, Chelsea/Flatiron, SoHo/TriBeCa, and the Meatpacking neighborhoods. Following the success of such events in 2009 and 2010, this year will be the largest yet, thanks to the national sponsorship of Dwell Media.
This year's Platinum sponsors include:
Arhaus, the Cleveland, Ohio-based company with a shop in the Meatpacking neighborhood.
Bisazza, the Northern Italian tile company that dates from 1956, with a SoHo showroom.
Axor/Hansgrohe, the German plumbing company with new showroom above Vitra on Ninth Avenue.
Heller Gallery, which promotes artists working in glass, including works on view by Steffen Dam, Tobias Mohl, Lino Tagliapietra and Sibylle Peretti.
Savoir Beds, the 100-year-old English bed company with a flagship store in SoHo.
