The newly made-over ASID ICON magazine hopes to become a refreshed voice in the field of interior design. With the addition of nationally recognized editors, writers, designers, artists and advisors, the publication’s overall message, look and style has been overhauled to reflect current moods and needs in the interior design world. The new Executive Editor is Laura Horsley, the ASID VP of Marketing and Communications. The new Associate Editor is Laurie Enceneat, the ASID Senior Projects Associate for Marketing and Communications.
The flagship quarterly publication of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) will report on research, national policy, professional development and trends affecting residential, office, healthcare, retail and other sectors of interior design. The redesign aligns with ASID’s 40th anniversary, and will promote ASID’s belief that design transforms life.
"What sets ICON apart is the focus on the impact of design," said Horsley. "Our aim is to help designers sculpt their craft, work smarter and find joy and inspiration through great design stories."

Not only will the magazine cover trade-specific news and tips to help designers improve their businesses, it will also include book and television show reviews, features on topics like the history of different colors, profiles of high-profile designers and contests and giveaways.
