Since its Great American Tour wrapped up last year, designer Brad Ford's Woody-Tailgate Trailer has found a permanent spot within the plush pages of the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. For a cool $150,000, anyone can now own this retro-chic tailgating venue.
With state-of-the art entertainment and sound systems, leather furnishings and details from Moore & Giles and handcrafted finishings from reclaimed Bulleit Bourbon casks, "... it revolutionizes the tailgating experience," said Ford. “This particular Woody is such a novel idea because it combines modern day luxury with the charm of the original tear drop campers built in the 30’s. It’s almost impossible for it not to spark conversation, reminisce about old memories and make new ones, and hopefully bring a smile to the faces of those who get to enjoy it.”
The annual list of fantasy gifts dates back to the 1950s when then president Stanley Marcus offered a Steiff plush tiger decorated with jewels for $1 million. The retailer's fantasy gift list tradition has since become a staple to the holiday season. With gifts typically ranging in price, from $5,000 to over $1 million, the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Woody-Tailgate Trailer is retailed at $150,000.
"I was excited when I initially heard of Brad's vision to create a luxury tailgate trailer and my expectations were exceeded by the final product," said Tom Bulleit, Founder of the Bulleit Distilling Company. "Our team takes pride in how the Woody-Tailgate Trailer showcases our products, and we're honored to be included among Neiman Marcus' top fantasy gifts for the holiday season."
Ten percent of the Woody's proceeds will be donated to the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).
