In honor of its 50th year, the British Institute of Interior Design announced five new Honorary Fellowship awards for 2015. The winners, Zeev Aram OBE, Christine Losecaat, Dids Macdonald, Kevin McCloud MBE and Martin Roth, will be honored at the 2015 BIID Annual Conference; "Who Do We Think We Are?" to be held June 18 at the Royal Institute of British Architects' headquarters in London. They join the prestigious ranks of previous fellows including Charles Jencks, Shashi Caan, Thomas Heatherwick, Sir Paul Smith, Sir James Dyson, Angela Brady, Zandra Rhodes, Deyan Sudjic and others. “In this milestone year for the institute, we are thrilled be awarding five Honorary Fellowships. The BIID believes in showing our gratitude to those who inspire, enrich and influence our profession,” says Daniel Hopwood, BIID president.

Designer Macdonald has owned an interior design company, and, more recently, serves as a lecturer and CEO of Anti Copying in Design (ACID), advocating for social responsibility and ethical standards in the design industry. ACID, which represents thousands of designers, has helped bring about major legal reforms to protect copyright and trademark.
Author and designer McCloud has hosted the British TV series Grand Designs, in addition to running his residential housing development company, HAB Housing. His awards include two honorary doctorates from Plymouth and Oxford Brookes, and he has served as patron of charities as well as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Foresters, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a WWF Ambassador.

Losecaat, in addition to being an Emmy award–winning producer, serves as managing director of Little Dipper, a consultancy firm, where she specializes in special international projects for private and public sector companies. In addition to creating, designing and implementing programs at British Business Embassy at Lancaster House during the London 2012 Games, she has also worked on the U.K. business program at Shanghai Expo 2010 and Milan Expo 2015.
Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum, Roth has also worked as director general of the Dresden State Art Collections, where he oversaw 12 museums and galleries, and as resident of the German Museums Association. He is also a trustee of the British Council and of the Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, as well as a member of the Council of the Royal College of Art and the Court of Imperial College in London.

Israel-born Aram studied design at Central School of Arts and launched his furniture showroom, Aram Designs, in 1964, specializing in only genuine and original contemporary furniture and lighting. He opened London's ARAM STORE, a contemporary modern furniture design showroom, in 2002.
