A 100-year-old brand, Brunschwig & Fils will present a new image of itself-- beginning with a new combined showroom space with Hinson and Kirk Brummel. Each brand will be shown in its own boutique area, and the Brunschwig & Fils collections will encompass more than half of the space in a new presentation.
Brunschwig & Fils is undertaking an aggressive growth plan with a complete U.S. roll-out of the Hinson Collection, which it acquired last year. Hinson has already had an improvement in sales in existing Brunschwig showrooms. Known for its hand-screened wallpapers, woven wall coverings, hand-printed, textured and woven fabrics, Hinson is popular for it's mid-range price point. It also includes Hinson Lighting and Mrs. MacDougall furniture.
Next year, Brunschwig & Fils will expand its Kirk Brummel fabric collections to strengthen a modern, youthful side of the business and complement the more established, traditional lines. Brunschwig & Fils acquired Kirk Brummel in 2005.
"With our recent purchase of Hinson & Company, we are emerging from the down market in a strong position poised for further growth. Our plan includes additional strategic partnerships within the design industry," said Olivier Peardon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brunschwig & Fils. "We have increased our presence in different categories to become a true one stop destination for the luxury interior design trade while retaining a high level of quality and design."
Through a multi-tiered approach, Peardon's mission is to reinforce the Brunschwig & Fils brand as a high-end luxury product; build the established and respected businesses Kirk Brummel and Hinson & Company; reinvigorate and expand the country wide showrooms to become, again, the pinnacle of destinations for interior designers and decorators; and interpret the buying trends of customers in new ways that reflect an evolution of the old business model.
