Top patrons of the D&D Building can now take advantage of a "well-connected best friend," known as Cohencierge, named after the building's owner, Cohen Brothers Realty.
Powered by private members' club Quintessentially, select designers who shop the D&D will have access to their own personal account manager weekdays from 10am – 5pm, with total access to a variety of services including preferential rates and automatic upgrades—a value of $5500 per year.
Services include booking tailored travel itineraries; making last-minute reservations and venue suggestions; acquiring sold-out theatre tickets, film premieres, festivals, fashion shows, charity galas, black-tie balls, VIP after-parties, concerts, theater and sporting events; sourcing personal shoppers and stylists; chartering private jets, helicopters or yachts; accessing the most popular night clubs and private members' clubs around the world; booking treatments at top spas and salons globally; hiring personal trainers, Pilates, and yoga instructors; accessing museum exhibition previews and tours of galleries, as well as private collection viewings and auctions; and arranging worldwide flower and gift basket deliveries, or providing unique gift ideas.
According to Donghia president Crans Baldwin, people who are now our nation’s wealthiest people did not grow up with the lifestyle they live today. Previous generations of wealth grew up with cultural training, which may have included symphonies, ballet, trips to art museums, life in well-decorated houses, private schools, tutors, family dinners at fine dining room tables.
"What designers need to consider, I think, is how to offer this client what might be more than just a design project. Make the design process a cultural exploration and a voyage of discovery and not just the purchase of home furnishings. Part of the designer’s value might now be the education that comes with the design experience. Be the cultural concierge. Offer a wonderful world of history and cultural authenticity that manifests itself in your client’s living spaces and takes them on a journey into the creation of an environment that will offer their children that cultural training program above for future generations," said Baldwin.
