At the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market earlier this month, the ART organization and the Dallas Market Center named the winners of the 26th-annual ARTS Awards, presenting this year’s Academy of Achievement Award to Mac Hoak of Mecox.
Under the guidance and vision of Hoak, Mecox has energized the home industry with its selection of home and garden furnishings that are, according to the Dallas Market Center, unmatched in quality, texture and form.
Donny Osmond, who himself has dabbled in design, was the gala's master of ceremonies, honoring recipients along side 15 industry stars, including Mad Men actor Bryan Bratt (he plays Salvatore Romano) and interior designer Tobi Fairley.
Texas-based Home and Garden Trading, an emerging source for home furnishings and interior design, received the Rising Star Award, which recognizes modern excellence demonstrated by a home industry company that has been in business less than three years.
