This May, Departures will debut an eighth issue (it currently publishes seven issues per year), Home + Design, which will cover architecture, design, home furnishings, objets d’art, and entertaining. The magazine's first-ever brand extension, Departures Home + Design will be included with the May/June issue and distributed to 500,000 consumers and designers.
“This is definitely not a magazine about mansions—what a constricted old fashion notion of high-end living. Rather it will bring that very real and very Departures combination of access, real style, and super service to the world of home and design," said Departures editor in chief Richard David Story.
“Departures Home + Design is created for readers who are the ultimate luxury design enthusiasts – we’ve been blown away by their continuous outstanding feedback about their insatiable passion for our home design content," said senior vice president and publisher Steven DeLuca. "At the same time, this issue is providing our partners with an extraordinary opportunity to gain greater access to this affluent group of individuals who are primed to purchase in this popular lifestyle category.”
