Communicating and rewarding the integral role that design effectiveness plays in commercial success, the 2013 Design Effectiveness Awards recognize the return on investment that a coherent, well-thought-out, and professionally executed design strategy can achieve. Presented by the Design Business Association (DBA), the awards celebrate the most effective design work that the industry has to offer.
"The DBA Design Effectiveness Awards are the only awards we talk to clients about,” said Mary Lewis, Creative Director of Lewis Moberly. “Clients are forever seeking better value and we have been on many a shortlist simply because of good rankings in the awards league table"

The winners come from categories such as Design for Society, Design Management and Exhibitions and include companies such as Amy’s Kitchen, Design Activity, 999 Design, Design Bridge and many more who are now in line for a higher honor.
The Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for each category, along with a special prize for International Export and the winner of the ultimate Grand Prix for 2013, will be announced at the glamorous awards evening on Feb. 7, 2013 at The Brewery in London.
The judging panels, made up entirely of clients and consisting of senior marketers from brands such as Santander, TFL, John Lewis, Magner’s, Oxfam and British Airways, put the entries through two rounds of rigorous judging to award a record breaking 61 winners this year.
Past winners include Elmwood, Pearlfish, The Team, Good and BrandOpus, many of which are being considered for an award again this year. For the complete shortlist of winners, click here, and to purchase tickets for the awards ceremony, click here.
Year after year, winning case studies demonstrate that successful projects require the integration of the design brief with business aims and objectives from the outset. This sets the stage for a transparent and accountable relationship between clients and designers that provides the best creative and commercial environment for success.
