Timothy Corrigan will be this year’s honoree at The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, Southern California Chapter (ICAA-SCC)’s upcoming 4th Annual Legacy Dinner. The event, which celebrates achievements and contributions in advancing the classical tradition in architecture, interior design and art, will be celebrated later this fall at the California Club in Los Angeles.

Event chair Elizabeth Dinkel shares, “The Legacy Dinner is our signature annual event, bringing together leaders in the design community to honor a peer who has made great strides in the world of design and architecture. We are so pleased Timothy Corrigan is this year’s honoree!”

Los Angeles– and Paris-based Corrigan has earned several other top honors, among them the ELLE Decor A List, Design Icon Award, the AD100, Star of Design, the Salonnière 100, Robb Report’s Top 40 Designers in the World, and the Luxe Gold List.

Samuel & Sons and Perennials will soon launch collections with the designer, who also has lines with Schumacher, Royal Limoges, THG-Paris and Fromental.

“We are thrilled that Timothy Corrigan is the 2018 honoree,” says Paul Williger, president of ICAA-SCC. “He has been a tremendous advocate and supporter of the ICAA. Mr. Corrigan has lectured our group on the restoration of his historic chateau in France and the history of French architecture and design. He was also instrumental in bringing internationally renowned historians and designers to participate in our lecture series.”

Corrigan’s heritage work has not gone unnoticed—he has been recognized as the first American designer honored by the French Heritage Society for his restoration of a number of national landmarks in France. Corrigan’s inaugural design book follows the restoration of his own French chateau, while his forthcoming second book will spotlight international projects of his.

The proceeds from the event will be dedicated to the chapter’s educational and scholarship initiatives, including scholarships for an educational studio intensive and summer studio program at the ICAA’s national headquarters in New York; the Christopher H. Browne Paris and Rome Drawing Tours; and a program on classical architecture for middle school students from the Girls Academic Leadership Academy public school in L.A.

“These programs are instrumental in planting the seed for the next generation, who will further the tradition of promoting classical architecture and art,” says Williger.
