Lori Dennis and Kelli Ellis met while speaking on the Las Vegas World Market “Influential Women in the Design and Furniture Industry” panel. The audience wanted to know what these ladies knew and they wanted to learn firsthand. Now the duo has hosted twelve camps in as many cities.
Dennis and Ellis have mentored interior designers and design enthusiasts over many years. Design Camp is their opportunity to give back in a dynamic, refreshing and real way, providing sponsors and attendees with an experience that will leave them wanting more.
Design Camp with Tobi Fairley just wrapped up its latest session, May 16-18 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The three-day event at Tobi Fairley's interior design studio and gallery draws both aspiring designers and those with some experience to create floor plans and inspiration boards and network with the promise that attendees will have all the information and skills needed to make their room come to life when they return home.

On June 5th, Gail Doby and Maria Bayer of Design Success U hosted a teleseminar called "Discover the Secret Formula to Stand Out from Other Designers and Communicate Your Value So Your Prospects Are Willing To Pay Top dollar For Your Services."
Intended to identify designers' competitive advantage and avoid common industry mistakes, the call will present a step-by-step blueprint to define a unique style, identifying the right language to use with potential clients, and help define the designer's added-value. DesignSuccessU's mission is to make sellable skills as good as the designs produced. With the premise that many design schools do a great job of teaching design but not the skills to run a successful design business, this training call is all about finding ideal clients who are willing to pay for the value and services designers can provide.
