The East Hampton Historical Society has announced this year’s House & Garden Tour, which will spotlight five residences on November 28, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The festivities begin November 27, with a kickoff cocktail party celebrating the tour’s 31st year, held at an oceanfront house built in 1920 by architect John Custis Lawrence.

“We believe it is the mix of architectural styles—from the turn of the century to today—that gives East Hampton its unique character and flavor,” said Richard Barons, the executive director of the East Hampton Historical Society. “Our House Tour Committee has creatively selected five houses that uniquely express the spirit of living on the East End. Different yet complementary, these private houses invite the viewer to ‘look inside’ some of East Hampton’s most alluring structures.”
Opening-night cocktail party tickets cost $200, including entry to the tour on the following day. The self-guided House & Garden Tour tickets cost $65 in advance, and $75 on the day of the tour. Ticket proceeds benefit the Society. To buy tickets, visit the E.H.H.S. office at 101 Main Street, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; visit their website; call 631-324-6850; or stop by Clinton Academy, 151 Main Street, on Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28, between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
