On April 28, Elle Decor celebrated at the New York Botanical Gardens Antique Garden Furniture Fair, with notable names including Bette Midler and Martha Stewart. About 600 guests hailing from the philanthropy, interior and landscape design, architecture and art worlds gathered for the fundraising event. For the occasion, Elle Decor’s Robert Rufino designed a garden vignette-meets–outdoor lounge, with mannequins dressed in ball gown skirts made of Chinese newspaper, tops from pages and covers of the magazine, and Chinese straw hats. Furniture from the Stephen Burks collection for Roche Bobois and bright lanterns and vases bursting with cherry blossoms completed the scene.
