Mar 3, 2016

Espasso, the New York City showroom known for modern and contemporary Brazilian furniture, art and design objects, is debuting “Made in America,” a new exhibition by Brazilian architect-designer Arthur Casas that includes pieces he handcrafted in Brooklyn shown alongside his work from Brazil. The juxtaposition will highlight the cross-cultural exchange of ideas between Brazil and the United States. Open March 4 through March 27, the exhibit also marks the American launch of the new monograph Studio Arthur Casas Works, showcasing Casas’s latest projects, including buildings, interiors and designs.

“Espasso is honored to be the premiere venue to unveil new furniture pieces designed by Arthur Casas, which beautifully display his ability to create works that are thought provoking, unique and striking. The exhibit explores Arthur’s ability to design furniture that translates across different disciplines, and the dialogue created between a Brazilian designer who has handcrafted work in America,” said Espasso’s owner and curator, Carlos Junqueira.
