Five women in design to receive WOW Awards

A group of top women professionals will be recognized for their accomplishments in the home furnishings industry at the 2013 Women in the Home Industries Today (WithIt) WOW Awards dinner and ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 27, at the World Market Center Las Vegas. The winners are as follows:

Legacy Award: Kathy Ireland, Kathy Ireland Worldwide; Education Award: Cheminne Taylor-Smith, High Point Market Authority; Leadership Award: Kim Knopf, Innovative Mattress Solutions LLC; Future Leadership Award: Kiersten Hathcock, Mod Mom Furniture; and Mentoring Award: Wright Global Graphic Solutions.

Margaret (Peggy) Traub, CEO and president of Adesso Inc., will receive the Founders/Lifetime Achievement Award for her commitment to WithIt and its mission to advance the careers of female professionals in the home and furnishings industries. As one of the founders of WithIt, Traub has performed an integral role in building the organization.

The WOW Awards are dedicated to the specific accomplishments of women and the companies that support women in the home and furnishings industries.
A cocktail reception begins at 6:30 p.m.; followed by dinner by chef Todd Clore, and then the awards presentation will follow. Tickets are available for purchase, here. Individual tickets are $150; a table of ten is available for $1,500.
