Garden & Gun magazine will host its inaugural Jubilee (December 6 – 8) in Charleston, South Carolina, offering a mix of shopping items from Southern tastemakers and local antique dealers, food, music and art, as well as special dinners and live entertainment on the grounds of the historic state park Charles Towne Landing.
“This is the perfect way to extend the success we have seen from the Made in the South Awards franchise in the magazine,” said Garden & Gun’s VP and brand development director Jessica Derrick. “Jubilee takes it a step further by creating the ultimate expression of Garden & Gun. We want the men and women who read our magazine to pack up their bags, head to Charleston, and join us for this amazing weekend and gathering.”

Design will be ever-present throughout the weekend from the Made in the South marketplace featuring goods for sale from Southern tastemakers to the BoBo intriguing objects antiques tent from design guru Mark Sage and his team.
"We are beyond excited about Jubilee,” added Derrick. “While the products will be incredible, it's about the up close and personal side too—from Susan Hable and her beautiful textiles and products, to entering the magical world of hat maker Leigh Magar. There will be layers and layers of amazing things alongside a weekend full of G&G personalities, great food and drink, and surprising moments.”
Other highlights of the event include the Meet the Makers trunk show offering both men and women’s sporting gear from leading Southern designers, the Ultimate Oyster Roast as well as a Pit Master’s Pig Roast, the Southern Pantry food tent, and the G&G Club exclusive dinner and show featuring James Beard Award–winning chef Mike Lata, who will prepare a one-of-a-kind food/drink experience followed up by music from Junior Brown.
“With more than three centuries of well-preserved history on display at every turn, Charleston is one of North America’s most architecturally significant and culturally vibrant destinations,” said executive director of the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Helen Hill. “While Charleston exists as an arbiter of style and design, the entire region is truly a preservationist’s muse that invites and inspires visitors from around the world. We are delighted to host Jubilee and combine Charleston's heritage with the Garden & Gun lifestyle."
