Texan sisters and designers Susan and Katharine Hable have teamed up with S. Harris for a 105-sku, high-performance collection – aptly named Hable Construction after their New York City-based textile company. It is their first venture into the hospitality market and adds to S. Harris’ growing diversity of boutique designer programs. Previous S. Harris designer collaborations include Amy Lau and Isaac Mizrahi.
“Hable Construction’s distinct designs and vibrant color palettes resonate well in both the retail and trade markets,” says David Klaristenfeld, vice president of S. Harris. “This collaboration gives hospitality and residential designers alike an exclusive collection of fresh, forward-thinking fabrics for application in a variety of interior spaces.”
The Hable sisters apply practicality, sophistication and timelessness into their designs. Their collection for S. Harris follows the same hallmark aesthetic – bold, graphic fabrics comprised of abstracted motifs budded with colorful, hand-drawn patterns. The brush-stroke effects and deliberate imperfections add personality and an element of fun throughout the collection.
“We strive to create fabrics that are inviting, comfortable and timeless,” adds Katharine Hable. “This collection combines the heart of our aesthetic with the enduring sophistication of a woven fabric.”
