Hot off the press: A roundup of the latest design books

Design by Nature: Creating Layered, Lived-in Spaces by Erica Tanov
In designer Tanov’s first book, she captures how she incorporates elements from nature into lived-in, bohemian-inspired interiors. Divided into five sections—Water, Weeds, Decay, Wood and Dirt—she discusses decorating tips on how to create layered designs that pull from the surrounding world. (Ten Speed Press, April 2018)

Get It Together! An Interior Designer’s Guide to Creating Your Best Life by Orlando Soria
After getting his start on HGTV, interior designer Orlando Soria built an interior design business through Homepolish and founded Hommemaker, a design and lifestyle blog. In his first tome, he combines his design tips with lifestyle advice, while letting his personality and humor come through. Interior photography by Zeke Ruelas makes Soria’s work shine. (April 2018)

It’s Beautiful Here: Homes That Make Your Heart Skip a Beat by Megan Morton
The Australian-based designer explores interiors that she believes embody a certain je ne sais quoi. Included in the tome are abodes spanning Paris to New York, from novelist Hanya Yanagihara, furniture maker Anna Charlesworth, and designers Olivier Abry, Fiona Lynch, and Daniel To and Emma Aiston. She focuses on the relationship between the inhabitants and the design of their home. (Thames & Hudson, May 2018)

Country Houses: The Architecture of Mark P. Finlay by Mark P. Finlay
Finlay’s 30-year career is explored in the architect’s first tome. He discusses how he is able to design intimacy into his homes, despite their size and grandeur, in locations ranging from Virginia and South Carolina to the Rocky Mountains. His respect for tradition and knowledge of classical American architecture is evident no matter where the foundation is laid. (Images Publishing, May 2018)

The New Creative Home: London Style by Talib Choudhry
Design editor Choudry takes readers through the stylish homes of designers, stylists and artists in London, ranging from loft-style apartments to a Victorian pile. With photography by Ingrid Rasmussen, the homes of architect Chris Dyson, designer Lee Broom, fashion stylist Alex Eagle and more are brought to life. (Thames & Hudson, May 2018)
