The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) will be bestowing its highest honor on four members of the design community by inducting IIDA Members Julio Braga, Stanford Hughes, Susanne Molina and Joey N. Shimoda to its esteemed College of Fellows.
Admission to the College of Fellows recognizes those whose activities and efforts have benefitted and enhanced IIDA, and whose design works have influenced and enhanced the interior design profession.
“IIDA is honored to welcome these four amazing design leaders into the College of Fellows,” said Viveca Bissonnette, College of Fellows chair for IIDA. “They each bring a unique design perspective, as well as a wide range of experience.”

Julio Braga is Design Principal at IA Interior Architects and has both domestic and international experience directing a broad range of products. He received the Institute of Store Planners’ Specialty Store of the Year Award in 2002 for his Ford new-concept store, and Interior Design magazine’s Best of the Year award for his design for the headquarters for Bancolombia, the largest commercial bank in Columbia, in Medellin, Colombia.
Stanford Hughes, the design principal at BraytonHughes Design Studio, has developed an international reputation for design excellence. He aims to create a unique sense of place with regards to the needs of both the client and the project. In 1996 he received the Designer of the Year Award from Interiors Magazine.

Susanne Molina has a degree in Environmental Design and focuses on commercial (particularly corporate) interiors. The director for Klawiter and Associates is trained in many areas of interior design, including project management, construction documentation and administration. She also held a Board position for the Interior Design Coalition of California and served as VP of government and regulatory affairs for the Southern California Chapter of IIDA.
Joey N. Shimoda founded Shimoda Design Group in in 2000. The studio uses a multi-disciplined platform to maximize innovative design practices. The firm currently has ongoing projects in Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles.
