Anthology, a new quarterly shelter and lifestyle print magazine featuring home décor, travel, design, entertaining, and culture, launches next month out of San Francisco.
Founded by Meg Mateo Ilasco, art director, and Anh-Minh Le, editor in chief, each issue explores a theme centered on the publication's tagline Living with Substance & Style. Le is a contributor to The San Francisco Chronicle Datebook and Home & Garden departments, as well as Apartment Therapy and Readymade magazine, and Ilasco is a writer, illustrator, designer, and entrepreneur.
The first issue's theme will be "slow life" and will promote the idea of taking pleasure in the simple things. The issue features products that have stood the test of time, and improve over the years; a conversation with Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge; local’s picks in Park City, Utah; behind-the-scenes with a Chicago furniture designer who handcrafts heirloom-quality pieces; a living room re-design by interior designer Grant K. Gibson; inspirational interiors in California, Louisiana, and New York.
The magazine launched a "Print is not Dead" trailer promoting its upcoming launch. Although the magazine is published online using issu.com self-publishing software, hard copies are also available to US, Canada, and UK residents. Single copies will be $12, $14 CAD or £12 and subscriptions will be $38, $45 CAD, or £38.
