Industry leaders to speak at ASID Leadership Summit

The second-annual American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Design to Lead Summit will take place in Washington, D.C. on Monday, April 13. The daylong conference for industry professionals of all levels intends to inspire new leaders.
The summit will include immersive learning experiences, group discussions and speeches from industry leaders and experts. It’s all meant to help designers and other attendees exchange ideas with peers from around the country.

Keynote speakers include Toni L. Griffin, Don Blanchon and Reed Kroloff. Griffin is a professor of architecture and the founding director of the J. Max Bond Center on Design for the Just City at the Spitzer School of Architecture, City College of New York. Blanchon is the executive director of Whitman-Walker Health in Washington D.C., an organization and community health dedicated to caring for those with HIV/AIDS. Kroloff is a founding principal of jones|kroloff, a consulting practice that develops strategy for design industry clients. Previously he served as director the Cranbrook Academy of Art and Art Museum and as dean of the Tulane University School of Architecture. ASID CEO Randy Fiser will speak as well, among others.
The conference will provide up to 0.5 CEU credits. For an additional fee, attendees can tour the nearby Whitman-Walker Health Center. The tour provides an additional 0.1 CEU credits with 50 percent of ticket proceeds donated to Whitman-Walker Health.
