Interior Design magazine has assembled notable voices in the industry to define contemporary interior design and its practice for a new book, Interior Design Practice. The book, edited by Cindy Coleman, provides professionals a perspective that encompasses design theory and education, global professional practice, and the experiences of large and small design firms.
The book includes sections on development and growth of the interior design profession; an assessment of the legal and regulatory environment; work process from pre-design, programming, and design development to contract administration; as well as management information: marketing, financial management, project management, and managing client relationships.
