It takes two: five designer collaborations to note

Fresh eyes and a different perspective can breathe new life into even the most established brands. That’s why companies turn to designers when they want to refresh their look. New partnerships to look out for this season include Christiane Lemieux for Comfort Design and Magnussen, Windsor Smith for Arteriors, Jennifer Adams for The MT Company, Jenni Kayne for Pottery Barn Kids and FORM for Selamat Designs.
Christiane Lemieux for Comfort Design and Magnussen
DwellStudio’s creative director Christiane Lemieux has created a new casegoods collection with Magnussen Home Furnishings and Comfort Design, a division of Klaussner Home Furnishings. Both lines debuted at the spring High Point Market, and aim ot bring DwellStudio’s signature quality and aesthetic to a broader audience. The collections include more than 70 pieces in total and feature sofas, chairs, ottomans and more, as well as a new expansion into dining and bedroom décor.
Jennifer Adams for The MT Company
The MT Company debuted its new licensed collection, Jennifer Adams Home, during the spring High Point Market. The new upholstery line by Jennifer Adams features two sofas, one setter, one sectional, three chairs and one new ottoman style. Adams described the collection’s aesthetic as “inspired by a mix of classic European traditions and causal Californian style.”
Windsor Smith for Arteriors
Windsor Smith’s debut collection for Arteriors is comprised of 40 items featuring iconic embellishments and ranging from Greco-Roman architectural friezes to vintage jewelry. The furnishings follow her decorating style of layering old and new to create fresh, fashionable pieces that can imbue a room with a sense of familiar warmth.
Jenni Kayne for Pottery Barn Kids
Home fashions designer Jenni Kayne has partnered with Pottery Barn Kids for a capsule collection of children’s room décor to launch this June in stores and online. The collection will feature 50 pieces including bedding, nursery essentials, lighting, rugs, art and decorative pieces.
FORM for Selamat Designs
Los Angeles design firm FORM will be making a capsule collection with San Francisco-based natural furnishings manufacturer Selamat for a collection of large, anchor pieces to accessories. It will debut at a pop-up shop in November in Austin, Texas, followed by introductions in Las Vegas and High Point markets in January 2016.
