Jung Lee offers finishing services to interior designers
Oct 8, 2015

Drawing on her background as an event producer, Jung Lee of Jung Lee NY, a 4,500-square-foot home concept store in New York’s Flatiron District, is now offering a unique finishing service to interior designers. The finishing service provides expert help onsite to help designers source complementary details, including touches such as fine china, coffee table books, tabletop schemes, desktop accessories and other defining objects that complete a project. Designers are assigned a dedicated contact person to manage their accounts and consignment pieces for client approvals, and the store also offers a 20 percent trade discount after the first $1,000 spent.

“Having created events all over the world, I understand the level of detail and what it takes to produce an event that is memorable and showcases the couple, makes their guests feel happy, excited and have the best time of their lives. I think this skill also applies to the home; understanding that it's the details that make a house a home," Lee explains to EAL. “It's a passion of mine to find new designs and products, and where to get the best products across the globe. This is why I opened the store; so that customers can access the same things that I love and use in the wonderful events I create, and in my own life."

Designer Sabin Patterson of Sabin Patterson and Associates has used the service primarily to complete dining room projects. “Jung is a master at providing selections of the unexpected, allowing clients to break from the pack and have their own experience,” says Patterson. “Jung's services have varied from completing interiors with unique accessories and lavish table settings to finding the perfect client gift to complete each project.”

Prior to using the finishing service, Patterson says his projects, which required table settings and stemware, “looked incomplete. It's much like styling the perfect outfit with the right jewelry.” Yet one of Patterson’s favorite finishing touches is a distinctly imaginative, jung necessarily practical, one: the African Malachite Elephant. “I love the bold color of malachite in any setting. The elephant represents good fortune and happiness. What home isn't complete without good fortune?”
