Fashion’s iconic creative mind has founded his own hospitality brand. As Interior Design reports, Karl Lagerfeld, designer at Chanel, Fendi and at his own label, will launch Lagerfeld Hotels & Resorts. The company will take on residential building, hotel and private club projects via a licensing deal with BrandMark Collective BV.

Earlier this year, Lagerfeld began his first project in the U.S., designing the lobbies at the Estates at Acqualina, a residential complex in Miami. Of that project, he told Forbes, “I am excited by the opportunity and take great pride in knowing that the spaces I create will be such important spaces in the building. The lobby is very important, because this is where people can socialize. It’s like a common living room—the first impression you get when you come to visit people.”
Lagerfeld has also designed for hotels in Monaco, Singapore, Paris and Macau, and has announced designs for two luxury high-rise residential buildings in Toronto.
