According to HFN report: Kravet will begin representing Ralph Lauren Home products, including fabrics, wall coverings and trimmings in 25 to-the-trade showrooms under a new agreement announced by the two companies. Kravet will also show Ralph Lauren lighting and window hardware in selected locations. The move represents an expansion of the Ralph Lauren product mix into the designer showroom channel of distribution where it already shows furniture and some other products. Folia continues as the licensee for decorative fabrics and was one of the partners in this new arrangement. “Being represented in Kravet showrooms will further grow the business and increase Ralph Lauren Home’s position in the interior design community,” said Frank Guzzetta, president of the Polo unit. Kravet, which marks its 93rd year in business this year, has been one of the stronger players in the to-the-trade decorative fabrics field over the past several years. “Kravet feels that working with and representing the quintessential American fashion and home brand is a formula for future success,” said Cary Kravet, president of the family-owned company. http://hfnmag.com
