Dec 11, 2012

On the evening of Dec. 6, 13 La Cienega Design Quarter showrooms got into the holiday spirit for the first-annual Holiday Crawl, sponsored by Adorno Magazine and Egg & Dart Home, to benefit the Charitable Children’s Guild for the Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital (OH).
Guests enjoyed complimentary shuttle service between the participating showrooms: Baker Furniture, Janet Yonaty, Barclay Butera, Hollywood Sierra Kitchens, Waterworks, Fuller and Roberts, Mecox Gardens, Gallery GO, Dragonette, Gina Berschneider, Off the Wall and Ralf's Antiques—each of which offered discounted items and donated proceeds to the organization.

Adorno Magazine and Egg & Dart Home hosted an after party where designer Eric Cohler was on hand to sign copies of his new book, Cohler on Design.
“This event was a great opportunity for the interior design community to come together," said Keith Hudson, owner of Egg & Dart Home. “It’s good for the industry but, it’s also good for a community like this to come together for the children of the hospital.”

“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to support such a great organization,” said Sara Ledterman, Editor-in-Chief of Adorno Magazine, “My family has been supporters of OH for over 15 years. When my son was born with health issues, we experienced, first hand, the amazing care they provide to the community.”
“We are interested in helping the less fortunate during the holiday season,” said Shawn of Ralf’s Antiques. “Participating in an event that would allow us to do so and build a sense of community in the Art District could only be a positive opportunity for all involved.”
The Charitable Children’s Guild was established in 1911 to support the Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital, and since its inception, this support group has given nearly $10 million to the hospital. The Guild and its energetic auxiliaries focus their attention on ensuring that children get the orthopedic medical care they need to get the most out of life. Since the Guild began, no child has ever been turned away for financial reasons.
