Beginning last fall in New York, Luxe Interiors + Design magazine has been celebrating the industry-wide outdoor furniture movement with the theme Outdoor Chic—a series of events across the country.
Continuing the theme into 2010, the magazine will present Inspired Exteriors at The International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market at the end of September. The program will focus on exterior design and business practices, and target landscape designers, architects and interior designers.
"Inspired Exteriors is a great way for interior designers, landscape designers and architects to learn more about the new design opportunities that outdoor furnishings provide," said Jaclyn Kotzum, director of marketing, Casual Furnishings Industry, MMPI.
Savannah College of Art and Design President and Co-Founder Paula Wallace will discuss the history of designing outdoor spaces and porches over the years and across the country in her presentation Perfect Porches: Designing Welcoming Spaces for Outdoor Living. She will illustrate how varied and iconic these American spaces can be and present a wealth of structural appointments and designs.
Luxe Interiors + Design magazine Associate Publisher, Lisa Fraiberg, along with interior design and landscape design experts Susan Fredman, Tom Ferguson, Scott Byron, and Michael Schmechtig will share information about how they market to clients and work together to design outdoor spaces.
