Marchesa debuts couture tabletop collection for Lenox
Apr 16, 2010

Marchesa, the British design house known for red carpet eveningwear and bridal gowns, has embarked on a new partnership with Lenox to design dinnerware, stemware and giftware pieces inspired by Marchesa's one-of-a-kind dress designs. "We strongly believe the market is craving a collection of this nature. Marchesa by Lenox mirrors the beautiful detailing found in each of their gowns; the marriage between the brands will surely delight and inspire brides," said Lester Gribetz, President of Lenox. From lace detailing to rose embellishments, each Marchesa pattern embues the spirit of Marchesa's muse, nineteenth-century European style icon and eccentric aristocrat, Marchesa Luisa Casati. "We wanted to develop this collection the same way we do each of our gowns, with one-of-a-kind designs and detailed craftsmanship - creating a uniquely elegant dinnerware style not yet found in the market," said Georgina Chapman, Co-founder of Marchesa. The first eight collections include: Floral Illustrations inspired by the designs found in an artist's sketchbook; Spring Lark featuring whimsical flowers and birds; Palatial Garden showcasing a majestic pheasant in chocolate and turquoise hues; French Lace inspired by the elegant floral motif of French Lace; Painted Camellia featuring vintage florals; Porcelain Lace inspired by the delicate details found in each of the Marchesa gowns; Paisley Bloom featuring signature beaded accents on a tailored white bone dinnerware body; and Marchesa Rose featuring a clusters of roses.
