Interior designers, fashion designers, philanthropists and more marked the 100th anniversary of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club at the annual President’s Dinner on April 1. The event at Cipriani 42nd Street raised almost $900,000 in support of the club.
Close to 700 guests attended, including Bunny Williams, Martha Stewart, Linda Fargo, Thom Filicia, Aerin Lauder, Dennis Basso and Dayssi Kanavos. Seated at tables draped in Jonathan Adler by Kravet fabric, attendees enjoyed the music program “100 Years of Music,” put on by the club’s performing arts program. Also viewed: a surprise video message from Kips Bay Clubhouse alumna Jennifer Lopez, where she credited the club with her start in the entertainment industry.
“The staff recognized a spark of performing potential in me, and brought that spark alive,” said Lopez.
