mydeco, a UK-based website today announced the launch of its new online 3D modeling tool with Design Within Reach (DWR).
The tool will allow DWR customers to design their own modern interior online with hundreds of accurate models of real DWR furniture including Cassina, Herman Miller and Knoll. The tool will also be available in 45-plus DWR Studios in the United States and in Canada.

Customers may upload their floor plan or customize a room template by moving walls to the correct size and shape. Drag-and-drop windows and doors and hundreds of wall paint colors, wallpapers and floor coverings allow users to fine tune their space. After saving the design, customers receive a photo-realistic, high-quality 3D rendering in about 2 hours. They can then print their design and share it via email, Facebook and Twitter or with account executives at their local DWR Studio to get comments and ideas or to purchase items featured in their creation.
“Our residential clients and members of the interior design trade will find this free tool infinitely useful for functional space and design planning and for aspirational rendering. Customers can come into any DWR Studio or simply visit our website for a one-stop resource for the best in modern design at their fingertips, making design more accessible to all” said Design Within Reach CEO John Edelman.
mydeco CEO Nicole Vanderbilt comments “Being able to try any piece of DWR furniture in your own home and share the design with friends or family is hugely helpful when you’re trying to decide what to buy. Having experts in every DWR Studio ready to help you design your perfect room in 3D will mean anyone can create their dream modern interior.”
