With offices in New York and Milan, IMAESTRI is a new online platform that helps U.S.-based architects and interior designers connect with artisanal Italian manufacturers and makers.
Regarded by founder Paolo Timoni as a high-end counterpart to discount sites that have proliferated online in recent years, it brings together a selection of products by some of the design industry’s most recognizable names, including Steven Holl, Martin Margiela, Nendo, Mario Botta, Ron Gilad, Johanna Grawunder, Joe Colombo and Stefano Casciani.
The site offers more than 24,000 on-demand shippable items, most of which are offered exclusively through the platform, range from fireplaces and bathroom fixtures to furniture, textiles, lighting, wallcoverings, and tabletop goods, with new manufacturers and products added each month.

“Working with a team of industry experts, we have been able to assemble an incredible selection of products,” said Timoni. “We made IMAESTRI a convenient one-stop shop for furnishings that traditionally relied on multiple showroom visits or time-consuming browsing of manufacturer catalogs. We offer the ease and convenience of an online store, while maintaining the level of quality, customer service, and the price structure of a high-end, trade-only showroom.”
