The New York Tabletop Show’s fall edition (October 21 – 24) marks the show’s 40th anniversary of bringing new tabletop and accessories collections to interior designers and buyers.
Forty One Madison plans to honor some of its long-standing tenants including Noritake, the first showroom to sign a lease in 1974, while also celebrating newcomers including Orrefors Kosta Boda, a collection that returns to the building after a 10-year hiatus.
“While we stay true to our mission of excellence by providing the best market experience to our visitors, change is the one constant here,” said Laurie Burns, Senior Vice President and Director of Forty One Madison.
The show opens on Tuesday, October 21, to buyers and retailers, and on Thursday, October 23, it hosts Interior Designer Day, inviting the trade to preview dozens of new products throughout the building.
“Interior designers have always been an important target audience for the luxury brands located at Forty One,” said Burns. “Business in this segment seems especially strong and continually growing with improving market conditions.”
Jamie Drake, Alexa Hampton, Matthew Patrick Smyth
Designers are invited to a breakfast and panel discussion to kick off the day on Thursday. At 9:00 a.m. Krissa Rossbund, Senior Style Editor for Traditional Home, will sit down with interior designers Jamie Drake, Alexa Hampton and Matthew Patrick Smyth to discuss how designers can leverage new business opportunities in the niche tabletop category.
Following the presentation, designers can tour more than 95 showrooms representing over 125 global brands, many of which now offer home accessories, lighting and accent furnishings in addition to tableware.
