The new trend forecasting entity, WGSN-homebuildlife.com, is a product development tool focused on the needs of the global home and interiors industries. The site has formed an Advisory Forum comprised of industry-influencing professionals from across the globe - with just two U.S. markets (NYIGF and High Point) represented among its 12 members—in order to to examine and share knowledge and insight into pressing social issues including environmental and human concerns, the state of home-related design and commerce and future changes and trends.
NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president Dorothy Belshaw will represent NYIGF on the WGSN-homebuildlife.com Advisory Forum. “Global home and interiors suppliers represent a $350 billion worldwide industry, and they are an integral component to the success of leading wholesale markets like NYIGF,” said Belshaw. “Our involvement with WGSN will provide NYIGF participants with the most current and pertinent global trend information.” As the exclusive, online global “trend creative” partner with NYIGF, WGSN will provide unique insights on the evolving and global home and interiors industries to NYIGF exhibitors and attendees, both during the semi-annual markets and throughout the year on www.nyigf.com.
“The forthcoming launch of www.wgsn-homebuildlife.com will be our trend analysis and creative inspiration service for the home and interiors industries, and is a natural follow-on to the success of www.wgsn.com," said Stephen Morgan, commercial director for WGSN-homebuildlife.
WGSN identifies and analyzes current and future style trends, and provides its customers with state-of-the-art online tools which can be used to create commercially successful products and services for over 36,000 customers globally. The company is based in London and has offices in New York, Hong Kong, Seoul, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Tokyo.
