Since its acquisition of PierceMartin, Palecek has launched a new product line, PierceMartin by Palecek, which will be introduced this month across the country. Showroom locations include the L.A. Mart, San Francisco Design Center, New York Design Center, and Atlanta Decorative Arts Center. Other select designer trade showroom openings will be announced soon.
The product selection will include Palecek's signature rattan and bamboo designs as well as newly created furniture vignettes encompassing every space from bedroom to dining, and range from seating to accent pieces. Handcrafted furniture that mixes rich natural materials will continue to be a mainstay, but the company has an eye for the future of design.
“We’re bringing in more contemporary materials like iron, hammered for texture, and pairing it with traditional techniques like a classic marquetry veneer tops,” says President Andrew T. Palecek. “The result is a more eclectic, transitional feeling, which many designers look for when completing a space.”
PierceMartin was known for handcrafted natural rattan, bamboo, and other natural materials translated into elegant works of furniture art, and then accented with the best quality of cushioning made to the customer specifications. PierceMartin by Palecek continues with that tradition.
On May 6, a string of showroom opening events begins at ADAC in Atlanta with a launch party sponsored by VERANDA magazine and Define Design. Editor in Chief Dara Caponigro leads a panel discussion with Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators. A reception in the PierceMartin by Palecek showroom featuring a complete new product studio will follow from 2:30pm until 6:30pm.
Events at new PierceMartin by Palecek showrooms follow throughout the month of May and June. These openings include the L.A. Mart on May 12; NYDC in New York at 200 Lexington Ave on May 18; and at the CAI showroom in Chicago on June 14.
