Pierre Frey launched its latest tome, “Pierre Frey: Inspiring Interiors” in the U.S. with a book-signing party held at Bergdorf Goodman on June 3 with a stunning installation of the brand's products on the store’s seventh floor serving as a backdrop. The book celebrates the textile company’s 80th anniversary.
The installation features Pierre Frey wallpapers applied in the hallways running the length of the store, while fabrics from the brand decorate vintage furniture as well as pillows and table linens, which are available for sale. The most notable pattern is Carriacou, the colorful embroidery shown on the book cover which has become a de facto signature pattern for the brand. The installation will be on view until early August.

“It was such a pleasure to work with the Bergdorf Goodman team on the installation,” said Patrick Frey, President of Pierre Frey. “I couldn't be more thrilled with the final result and turnout at the unveiling. And hosting our book signing event there was a fantastic way to kick off the arrival of our book.”
Members of the Frey family narrate the 240-page book, taking readers from 1935 up to present day. Illustrated with photography, the book showcases how Frey has flourished by preserving centuries-old crafts and techniques to reproduce period textiles and design eclectic, contemporary creations. It also highlights the creation and use of Pierre Frey fabrics in private apartments and museum installations.
