French design house Pierre Frey and American artist Torrick Ablack, also known as Toxic, have produced the new Urban Expression collection for Pierre Frey. (Discover the EAL lookbook here.) Ablack, considered a pioneer of the Graffiti movement of the 1980s, is a contemporary and friend of the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. He and the design house created a collection featuring a fabric, a wallpaper and a panel of bright colors and spray-painted abstract shapes. The Eighty/Thirty wallpaper, for one, is a reference to the 80-year history of Pierre Frey and the 30-year history of the graffiti artist.
