The Day of Design summit will return to the Mayflower Grace hotel in Washington, Connecticut, on Saturday, June 18, for a packed schedule of panels and programs all about interiors. Participating designers and industry notables include Michael De Perno and Andrew Fry, who will headline the morning’s panel on simplicity in design, moderated by Kyle Hoepner, editor in chief of New England Home. Elizabeth Ralls, editor in chief of Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, designers Michael Mitchell and Tyler Hill of Mitchell Hill, and Kathryn McCarver Root of KMR Arts Gallery will discuss Southern style.

The day will also feature a discussion with design author Susanna Salk on her latest book, It’s the Little Things: Creating Big Moments in Your Home with the Stylish Small Stuff, with designer Kati Curtis and the co-owners of Dunes and Duchess, stylist Stacy Kunstel and photographer Michael Partenio. There will also be a panel featuring architect-designer Robert Couturier and architect Harold Tittmann on “Connecting Interiors with the Landscape,” with Stacey Bewkes of the design blog Quintessence.
“Maybe because in such an idyllic and calm atmosphere it is easier to think,” shares Couturier. “We don’t have to go anywhere, there is no time pressure, and it is always enriching to find out how the others think, and to discuss how differently we all work. I love doing it!”
